Contrary to what Liang En and the others had imagined, Elizabeth Bathory arrived much earlier than Joan of Arc. She reached Liang En’s location shortly after one in the afternoon.
The reason for this quick arrival was due to the differences in various situations between the two in this world, causing a significant difference in their travel speeds.
Unlike Joan of Arc, who was an orphan from a monastery, Elizabeth Bathory, although also an orphan in this world, had inherited part of a fortune from a wealthy relative due to her arranged background.
In addition, Bathory had much more life experience compared to Joan of Arc. Thus, upon arriving, she did not show the same confusion as Joan but directly sought out Liang En.
"Currently, my only asset is a small vineyard in Hungary, which brings me an after-tax net income of about one hundred and twenty thousand euros annually."
After sitting down in the living room, Bathory began to describe her situation in this world.
"Also, I completed my university studies, obtaining an economics degree from Loránd University in Hungary, and became the youngest student in my class."
"What a rich life experience," Joan said enviously from the side. Although these were indeed fictional memories granted by the card system, they felt truly real to her.
In other words, even though the memories of university were implanted by the card system, Elizabeth Bathory still gained knowledge in that field.
Unlike the aged and frail Bathory they had seen before, young Bathory was lively and outgoing. Thus, even without prompting from Liang En, she began talking incessantly.
Because someone started the conversation, the subsequent chat flowed smoothly. Clearly, Elizabeth Bathory, who had arrived more than four hundred years into the future, was very excited. She also learned that her diary had been made public.
"Vampire Countess, it seems our emperor was very distrustful of my family!" Bathory smiled and shook her head after Joan vaguely mentioned her own rumors.
Although she had always pondered her posthumous affairs while alive, especially towards the end of her life, upon truly arriving in the future, she found that these concerns could be put aside.
Perhaps due to rejuvenation, she was filled with curiosity about everything in this new world, even finding the nickname "Vampire Countess" quite amusing.
Compared to the previous humiliating trials, being called a vampire now was less insulting. Any sane person would know it was purely fabricated.
"Look, you're on the news now," Joan said, pointing at the TV in the house while everyone was preparing to have lunch.
It was a short news segment of just over a minute. Regardless, Elizabeth Bathory was a historical figure, and the recent findings naturally drew much attention, thus making it newsworthy.
The news focused on the notebook because it was well-preserved, revealing a lot of information.
These revelations were quite groundbreaking, as few people genuinely studied this history; most preferred the stories of the Vampire Countess.
Elizabeth Bathory quickly joined Liang En's small team and began organizing the many industries related to Liang En.
After two days of sorting, she informed Liang En that she had reviewed all the industries and found the operations lacking in some aspects.
The issue did not lie in the management of individual regions, as most were professionally managed, resulting in generally good conditions. The problem was in the overall aggregation.
"If everything goes smoothly, I can ensure a profit increase of over 10% after a period of reorganization, while also improving the welfare levels of workers in each industry," was Bathory's opening statement in her report.
In the next hour or so, she reported her findings to Liang En, including various issues discovered and corresponding inspection plans.
As a once-excellent lord, Bathory handled these industries with ease, completing all the information sorting and future planning in just a few days.
"Sounds impressive, but—" Liang En said, looking at Bathory’s report and PowerPoint presentation with an embarrassed expression. "Okay, I admit I don’t quite understand these things, so I’ll leave them to you."
"No problem, A mesterem," Elizabeth Bathory said with a slight bow. "Leave these to me, and I guarantee to handle everything properly."
In the following days, Liang En completed a series of industry transfers. Fortunately, although the industries seemed numerous, they were not chaotic.
Especially since the industries had not long been transferred to Liang En, some issues had already been resolved during the transfer, and new problems had not yet arisen, making the transfer process relatively smooth.
"It seems Miss Bathory is indeed skilled in this area," Joan said to Liang En. "At least for me, I can’t understand those accounts at all."
"I’m a bit better, I can understand the accounts, but they give me a headache," Liang En said helplessly. "I admit, it's better to let those skilled in the tasks handle them."
With someone to share the management work, Liang En felt much more at ease over the next ten days, allowing him to devote more time to artistic creation.
For example, during this time, he utilized Gaudí's observation of nature and Mucha's design and production skills cards to create a series of jewelry themed around marine life.
Unlike the previously designed formal jewelry sets, this batch of jewelry was more suitable for everyday wear, appearing more relaxed and lively.
The feedback from the jewelry company was positive, as these new pieces naturally expanded the product range, aiding in exploring new markets.
Besides jewelry design, Liang En also decided to forgo summoning a new Tunbak after some consideration. Based on past experience, these spirits summoned through weapons were likely related to weapon manufacturing, maintenance, or repair.
For Liang En, this skill was evidently unnecessary, even almost worthless, making it not worth expending precious legendary points on it.
After all, there was already a group of professionals for firearm maintenance and modification, so there was no need to solve this through such means.
