Chapter 927: Harvest

After a simple inventory check, Liang En confirmed that the items in the warehouse matched the list exactly. Because of this, they quickly organized a detailed account of the entire warehouse.

It must be said that this warehouse truly deserved to be called a treasure trove. The relics inside ranged from the pre-Qin period to the Qing Dynasty, including masterpieces from famous artists and top-tier bronze artifacts, which were invaluable from any perspective.

The only odd thing was that after searching the entire warehouse, not a single piece of porcelain was found. Liang En speculated that this might be because the invaders back then had categorized and stored the looted treasures separately.

This could also be inferred from the way the items were stacked in the warehouse; they were obviously arranged by type rather than by era or style.

Back then, even though the invaders had specialists collecting such items, their numbers were limited. So, during the war, they conscripted a large number of amateurs to assist with the work.

However, these amateurs had little knowledge of relics, so only this simple method had practical value.

In hindsight, this worked to Liang En's advantage because if the relics had been sorted and classified according to traditional methods of appraisal, these high-value items would never have survived until today.

"Now there's a problem: how are we going to transport all these things?" Jeanne, calming down from the excitement of discovering the treasure, quickly realized an important issue. "Can your space accommodate all these items?"

"It can't," Liang En shook his head firmly after recalling the items in the room. "These things take up more space than I imagined."

"If we remove the outer packaging, it might be possible, but that would risk damaging the relics, which is clearly not worth the trouble."

"So, what should we do next? We definitely can't take the official route; otherwise, the Americans will surely seize these relics," Jeanne said, a bit anxious.

"Don't forget, I have the skill [Divine Foot (Pseudo) (SSR)], which allows me to teleport with items over 4,000 kilometers. So, I can make several trips and transport everything within a day." After thinking for a few seconds, Liang En quickly came up with a plan.

"I can teleport the items to Los Angeles and hand them over to the people waiting there. Of course, this will take some time to prepare."

After making the decision, Liang En and the others quickly restored the hidden base to its original state and then left. On the way, they stopped at a gas station and used a Beidou satellite phone to contact Liang En's contact in China.

This contact was given to Liang En by the Chinese side after he returned the relics last time, with instructions to call him if he ever needed anything. He had a green channel that could report information safely and quickly.

"—If it's Las Vegas, I think we might be able to transport those items, but the process could be a bit complicated."

After listening to Liang En briefly describe the situation, the person on the other end of the line paused for about ten seconds, discussed it with the people around him, and then replied with some uncertainty.

"Although Las Vegas is an important distribution center, because it's inland, it's difficult for us to mobilize enough manpower for the transport work."

"Especially since you mentioned that these items weigh over three hundred tons, and some of them are very fragile relics, transporting them won't be an easy task—"

"Oh, no, no, Mr. Zhang, we do have a way to transport those items to several West Coast ports, such as San Francisco or Los Angeles. However, it would be best if you could prepare a secure unloading location for us."

Hearing that the other party was willing to take on the task and the associated risks, Liang En smiled. He appreciated this kind of friendly and tactful person rather than those who acted as if everyone owed them something.

This was why he offered to handle the transport: it was a way to show goodwill and also demonstrate his strength.

After all, from a cooperative perspective, the closer the strength of both parties, the more equal and easier the cooperation would be. If there was a power imbalance, it might not be a problem at the beginning, but it would become increasingly troublesome later on.

Sure enough, Liang En's displayed strength shocked the other party. Although they knew Liang En had numerous enterprises around the world, especially in the United States, they never expected his power to be this formidable.

At least in their view, transporting over three hundred tons of fragile relics across hundreds of kilometers was no easy task, let alone doing it under complete secrecy.

Not to mention that Liang En could provide several West Coast ports for them to choose from. In this regard, even their state-backed organization couldn't accomplish this so effortlessly.

"In that case, please transport the items to the port in Los Angeles. We will inform you of the warehouse location and provide the key afterward." Mr. Zhang's voice revealed more respect.

"No problem. The items will be transported to your specified location in three days. However, I hope you can clear the surroundings of the warehouse and disable the monitoring and alarm systems before then," Liang En instructed as he concluded the call.

"Is everything settled?" Jeanne, who had been watching the gas station from a distance, relaxed as she saw Liang En hang up the phone. She walked over to the vehicle and asked.

"Yes, everything is ready. I think we can deliver everything tomorrow night. This task shouldn't be too difficult." Liang En nodded and got into the car with Jeanne.

This was a habit of theirs: whenever they were engaged in a secretive operation, they would change into clothes stored in the space, and if they needed to discuss anything important, they would move away from vehicles to an open area.

Of course, this open area wasn't randomly chosen. They would select a place with some cover around it but flat in the middle, where people couldn't hide, as their discussion spot.

They learned this from White Knight, a simple method to avoid surveillance, adding another layer of security to their covert operations.

Soon, they drove back to the hotel they were staying at. Upon returning, they immediately cleaned up because their outdoor excursion had left everyone covered in dust.

After finishing the cleaning, the first thing Liang En did was ask Jeanne to watch the door while he lay on the bed and began inspecting the cards he had obtained earlier.

These cards were found when they discovered the architectural structure of the Zongjing Pavilion. Although other items might be more valuable, the extraordinary power Liang En possessed only recognized the copper hall as the original target.

This was the part of the extraordinary knowledge that Liang En hadn't yet figured out. At least for now, he still didn't fully understand the specific rules these cards followed during their acquisition.

But one thing was certain: the abilities of the cards were directly related to the relics found. However, the exact nature of this connection depended on luck; sometimes it brought great surprises, and other times it left one at a loss for words.
