Chapter 423: Amadeus

“Lee Hamin. If I heal your body completely, will you be able to fight?”

“What? Your divine power is sealed…”

“My question comes first. If you recover, can you get out of here?”

As I asked again, the boy furrowed his brows in contemplation.

“If Yoo Seowoo takes down one on his side and I handle this bastard, it's not impossible to get out.”

“That'll do.”

That's enough. As I murmured softly, Hamin asked what was enough, with suspicion and doubt filling his face.

“What are you plotting now? No matter how great you are, isn’t your divine power sealed right now? Don’t meddle and just recuperate there.”

“It’s hard to call this recuperation.”

I said, glancing at the chains binding my wrists, to which Hamin responded that it wasn’t his concern.

“Handling this bastard alone is already overwhelming, don’t stir up trouble and just stay put.”

The boy muttered, crushing his words, and clashed again with the Irregular. The energies they released collided, shaking the ground and stirring up the wind.

Kwagagagaga!

Sharp sword energy scraped the ground, sparking between Hamin’s sword and the Irregular's axe. Kang Sihyun watched this, then turned his head towards where Seowoo and Jonathan were.

“Both of you, just make sure to take down one each!”

“That, if you do, the Irregulars will be drawn towards Mr. Hamin!”

“It’s fine, just focus on taking down one at a time! If possible, it would be good to take down two!”

“It’s me fighting, why do you say it’s okay!”

Even during the battle, it seemed Hamin heard the order, as he shouted back. Kang Sihyun stared straight at him and yelled.

“It’s okay if you get hurt a lot, just take down that Irregular first and come to me. I’ll definitely heal you.”

“Acting tough without divine power...!”

The boy’s offense intensified. Despite his words, he seemed intent on taking down the Irregular in front of him.

“Don’t hold back, use all your strength!”

“You don’t have to tell me that!”

Hamin's physical capabilities and swordsmanship were outstanding, even among the talented kids in Class A. Or perhaps not just Class A.

He was overwhelmingly skilled with the sword within the dungeon assault team.

If Haru used his outstanding physical and clean skills to take down opponents, then Hahyuk would blend skills and swordsmanship, and Hamin subdued his opponents with a steadfast swordsmanship that looked aggressive. It wasn't just dependent on skills; his swordsmanship itself was diligently honed, unique among his group.

His basics added to that. If Haru's fear was his swiftness and unpredictable hidden weapons, Hamin's weapon was his unbreakable swordsmanship.

He trained every day. Even on vacation days, unless he had other plans, he would start training at dawn and finish at night. The diligently and steadfastly honed basics of Hamin had grown solid over time to a level that was not easily shattered.

If he exerted his full strength, there was no way he couldn’t handle a catastrophe-class by himself.

After all, soloing a catastrophe-class was a condition for advancing to S-class.

Although the catastrophe-class Irregular in front of him seemed formidable enough to compare with a Titan, the team had grown several times stronger since the Titan. If they didn’t conserve their strength and focused entirely on the current fight, they could manage it.

“Don’t drag this out. End it within ten exchanges!”

“That’s not his job!”

Hamin, shouting, raised his sword. His purple eyes flashed. The sword in his left hand slashed horizontally across the Irregular’s abdomen, and the right hand’s sword chopped down vertically. The two sword strikes, made within seconds of each other, both hit the Irregular, making him spit blood.

Immediately, Hamin gripped his sword in reverse and aimed for the Irregular’s neck.

Kagagang!

The Irregular raised his axe to block the attack. Although the strike was blocked, Hamin curled his lips.

“It will be different this time.”

Great sword.

The boy, seeming almost villainous with a wicked smile, added more force to his right hand. Kagagak! With a sharp sound, cracks began to appear on the blade of the axe held by the Irregular. Seeing this, Hamin struck down even harder.

Jejejejeok!

The faint cracks became clearer until they were visible to Kang Sihyun's eyes. At that point, the Irregular roared and grabbed the axe with both hands, trying to stop it from splitting by covering the side of the blade with his palms and straightening his bent knees.

“Kuk!”

Hamin groaned, holding back his pain, and chopped down with even more strength. Their power struggle

 was intense.

Thinking he would retreat but instead charging in.

Kang Sihyun, chained and watching the battle, clicked his tongue. Was Hamin having a hard time for no reason, or was his combat sense better than expected? And Hamin, facing that force head-on, was also more monstrous than he had thought.

I couldn’t do that.

Even if he was confident, he couldn’t bluntly receive such brute force. There was a time when he bragged about mastering the great sword, and I teased him about it, asking what’s so big about a slightly heavier sword, but seeing its power now, I couldn’t laugh at him again.

It wasn’t because the sword was fierce, but because the time Hamin invested in perfecting that sword was immeasurable.

“Damn it, really!”

The boy, not easily backing down, shouted as a substitute for a battle cry and swung the other sword.

“This one has two blades, so blocking just one won’t do!”

That damn pretense.

Kang Sihyun frowned as he watched the boy swinging his swords. As Hamin swung the remaining sword, the standoff was resolved, and the exchange between the Irregular and the boy continued. The purple sword energy flashed like lightning, and the sword energy struck by the Irregular flew in all directions, threatening the surroundings. No one could intervene in their fierce exchange.

It was unclear if one of the flying sword energies hit, but the Irregular near Seowoo and Jonathan screamed. Kang Sihyun heard that and briefly shifted his gaze to them. The two were evidently listening to him, focusing all their effort on taking down an Irregular.

Fwoosh!

Finally, Seowoo’s sword cut the Irregular’s neck. Green hair fell to the ground, but the boy, having caught his breath, immediately targeted the next one.

Hamin and another Irregular were fighting in the fierce battlefield, and Seowoo, aiming to cowardly hit Hamin, had platinum eyes filled with murderous intent. The sword he held, which could be said to be sacred for its bright sword energy, targeted the Irregular's neck. The unsuspecting Irregular had half his neck deeply sliced before hurriedly dodging.

Kiieeeek!

The creature screamed. Enraged and ready to strike Seowoo at any moment, the creature was about to draw his stone axe when Jonathan positioned himself behind it.

There was one on this side, and two on the other. Although outnumbered in a group fight, the situation was different when they deliberately targeted one.

Jonathan, switching his dagger for a sword at his waist, drove his sword into the Irregular's neck. Having grown accustomed to Haru's skills, it was a bit disappointing, but Jonathan's technique was not bad either.

Kirukgireung, bubbling blood spilled from the Irregular, who soon frothed at the mouth and fell backwards. Matching that timing, Jonathan, who had moved away from the Irregular's back, groaned while clutching his waist. Unbeknownst to him, he had allowed another Irregular's attack while supporting Seowoo.

Now there were three.

The number had definitely decreased, but the situation was not good. Jonathan’s face was so pale from bleeding heavily, and Seowoo’s mana was almost depleted. It was uncertain whether the two could take down one Irregular even if they risked their lives.

Lee Hamin.

His battle had to end. Having assessed the situation, Kang Sihyun turned his head back towards Hamin at that moment.

Kwaaaaaaaang!

A louder explosion than ever before was heard as two figures flew in opposite directions. Whether they had thrown each other or not, the Irregular went left, and Hamin right, crashing into the wall.

“Lee Hamin!”

Kang Sihyun called out to him in alarm. The brief glimpse of Hamin’s condition was not promising.

“…so annoying.”

Seowoo, blocking an Irregular charging at him, rarely let out his irritation. His gaze, even during the battle, kept turning towards where Hamin had flown. He wanted to check if he was safe. Kang Sihyun felt the same and moved, but the chains rattled and did not release his wrists, making it difficult to move.

Giving up on approaching him, Kang Sihyun squinted his eyes and tried to sense any movement. It wasn’t easy with his divine power sealed, but the sensations etched into his body did not easily fade. From the end of the wall, faint breathing was heard.

He’s alive.

Considering the breath sounded too noble to be the Irregular's, Kang Sihyun opened his eyes wide. Hamin, who had crashed into the wall and then fallen to the ground, groaned as he got up.

“Ugh!”

Having possibly dislocated something again during the fierce battle, the boy clutched his shoulder and grimaced. Standing up, the boy faced forward.

The mist created by cement dust swirling around slowly thinned, revealing the sight of the Irregular, like Hamin, crashed against the wall but unable to rise again, his head bowed.

Seeing this, Hamin curled his lips and looked back at Kang Sihyun. The body that seemed about to collapse swayed as he murmured softly, having been so loud earlier, now he seemed to have no energy left to speak.

Kang Sihyun let out a faint laugh at that and gestured to Hamin.

“Come here, Lee Hamin.”

Since he had fought without sparing his body as asked, it was time to heal him. Kang Sihyun, relieved to see Hamin was safe, glanced at Seowoo and Jonathan, who were holding on, and then reached out to Hamin’s shoulder as he approached.

“Once your body is healed, go right away to help those two and get out of here.”

“What about you?”

Hamin asked. Kang Sihyun didn’t answer but used a skill instead.

There was one.

In this situation, where divine power was sealed and even Copy couldn’t be used because of the chains, there was just one skill he could use.

“Change.”

As Kang Sihyun murmured softly, light bloomed and then disappeared, and Hamin’s body was healed. Simultaneously, the numerous wounds that were on him transferred to Kang Sihyun’s body. Hamin’s eyes trembled.
