There was no signal inside the Otherworld, and everyone was out of contact.
Therefore, even Li Ping couldn't reach Yanbei.
Gripping the gun tightly, Li Ping ascended to the mall's rooftop. Fear surged, but it didn't cloud her senses.
She surveyed her surroundings, deliberately kicking over an iron trash can.
The trash can was at the mall's elevator entrance, round, rolling down several floors along the stairs.
The next moment, Li Ping pressed the elevator button and descended from the top floor to the first, sprinting towards the mall's exit.
Upstairs, the taunted Goat Butcher let out an angry roar.
The instant Li Ping reached the door, she heard the thunderous sound of glass shattering from above.
The goat butcher leaped from the rooftop. With buffalo-like horns and nearly three meters tall, his muscular body resembled solid stone, and he wielded a blood-stained axe.
His hooves pounded the ground, deeply denting the asphalt pavement. Fear peaked within Li Ping, her heart pounding like a drum. Without hesitation, she raised her gun, aiming for the butcher's eyes.
Her luck held. Under normal circumstances, at this distance and with her skill level, hitting such a small target would be unlikely, especially since she couldn't clearly see the butcher's full form. But in that moment, faced with the threat of death, Li Ping awakened. A faint white halo emanated from her body.

The bullet arced through the air, striking the butcher's left eye. It exploded upon impact, painting the butcher's vision blood-red.
"Damn it! That's the eye I watch the World Cup with!" If the butcher had been toying with his prey before, he was now thoroughly enraged.
He hoisted his heavy axe, charging forward like a bull, pounding the ground with thunderous steps. The distance between the two closed terrifyingly fast.
As the heavy axe swung toward Li Ping's back, she watched her shadow and instinctively collapsed to the ground, rolling awkwardly.
The axe embedded itself in the ground, cleaving a deep crevice. Without hesitation, the butcher aimed a kick at Li Ping's prone form. With his weight, if the kick connected, Li Ping would be severely injured if not killed.
But at that moment, a rabbit, with incredible precision, jumped under his hoof.
The rabbit was small, a C-class pollutant like the butcher, also employed at the slaughterhouse. It raised its scissors, the tiny blade piercing the butcher's hoof.
Blood gushed from the butcher's foot, and he roared, "Are you out of your mind? Do you want to be fired from the slaughterhouse?"
Though butchers occasionally quarreled over who claimed what meat pig, tonight was a meat pig free-for-all. Fighting now wasn't worth it, especially since he had no grievances with the rabbit butcher.
A discharged butcher met the same fate as the meat pigs in the slaughterhouse.
Li Ping didn't understand why two pollutants suddenly clashed, but she knew now was a good time to escape.
She scrambled to her feet and ran forward, not looking back.
The goat butcher ignored the rabbit, lifting his leg to continue the pursuit, but the rabbit butcher was exceptionally persistent, jumping up and biting his throat.
The butcher grabbed the rabbit, veins bulging in his arm.
The rabbit opened its mouth, spitting out white cotton from the seams.
It lowered its head, biting down hard on the butcher's wrist, gulping down sheep blood in large mouthfuls.

Unlike other butchers, the rabbit was different. It wasn't tall or terrifyingly strong or fast, yet it still worked at the slaughterhouse. The reason was its high-ranking talent.
Blood flowed continuously into the rabbit's body. Its glass bead eyes even grew eyelids and a nictitating membrane like a real rabbit.
The butcher, disregarding the rule against killing fellow butchers in the slaughterhouse, attempted to smash the rabbit's head with a punch.
But a hand grabbed his wrist at that moment.
Compared to the butcher's robust arms, Lu Yan's arm seemed fragile, but when his eagle-like fingers plunged into the flesh, it was like a sharp knife.
Lu Yan forcibly extracted a heart from behind the butcher's back. The heart was still beating, connected to thick veins.
At that moment, the goat butcher smelled the moist, oceanic air. The scent was familiar; he was certain he had smelled it before.
But he never imagined that this scent would signify death.
Pollutant blood was viscous. Lu Yan released his grip, letting the heart, the size of a dragon fruit, fall to the ground.
The rabbit butcher lay on the ground, gnawing on the goat's corpse, murmuring, "Mom doesn't remember me."
The little rabbit finally stopped calling her mother, which brought a hint of relief to Lu Yan.
He thought for a moment before replying, "She should remember."
"But Mom didn't even look at me."
Lu Yan wasn't good at comforting others; he simply narrated calmly, "Didn't recognize you."
"But I've become like this…" The little rabbit was suddenly too heartbroken to eat, "Will she still love me?"
Lu Yan pondered for a moment.
He didn't have children, but if Tang Xun'an turned into a pollutant, he probably wouldn't mind.
So, he scooped up the rabbit and tucked it back into his pocket, saying, "She will."
