Chapter 113: The Seven Streams - Part 2

The True Master needed absolute force to suppress everything else.

It wasn't as invincible as imagined; the True Master's true body was just a mass of neural tissue.

Passing through a street littered with corpses, Lu Yan arrived at the entrance to the third area.

Within the white mist, there were faint sounds of footsteps, sometimes near, sometimes far.

Lu Yan smoked a cigarette, feeling a bit envious of the other two who could see hallucinations. At least they wouldn't be as bored on the way.

[System: "Is that even human language you're speaking?"]

In the white mist, the degree of mutation would inevitably rise.

After smoking three sedatives in a row, Lu Yan finally spotted Ning Huai's figure.

It seemed like all the mutation reversal he had done for Ning Huai had rebounded.

Ning Huai's limbs stomped on the ground, leaving small cracks in the earth. Several smaller "Ning Huais" trailed behind him.

Those were all Ning Huai's spawn.

Ning Huai looked at Lu Yan. "You're moving quite fast. Where's Meng Hu?"

Lu Yan pointed in a direction. "Over there."

Initially, that was the direction Meng Hu had run towards.

[The good news is, two Divine Realm guards, under the orders of Fei Qing, went to attack Meng Hu. Now, there are only two guards left protecting the brain flower.]

[The bad news is, those two guards are pretty strong. Meng Hu... Well, it's a fifty-fifty chance.]

Ning Huai furrowed his brows slightly. "We can't wait for him anymore. The further we go, the faster the mutation rate rises. I'm almost at 94."

With that said, two smaller spawn of Ning Huai emerged from his side and scuttled in the direction Lu Yan had indicated.

[Now the odds are seventy-thirty.]

With that, Lu Yan breathed a small sigh of relief and nodded.

Ning Huai asked, "Are you really able to resist the True Master's mental attacks?"

Although it was absurd to confirm this at such a critical moment, Ning Huai's inner turmoil was too intense.

He didn't have a system to guide him through the unknown path ahead.

Ning Huai was truly staking everything on this one in a million chance.

Lu Yan replied, "Yes, I am."

Ning Huai continued, "According to the data, pollutants don't have a hierarchical relationship unless they stem from the same pollution source as 'hosts' and 'families.' These pollutants protect the True Master because they're controlled by the auxiliary brain. Besides mental attacks, the True Master's true form doesn't possess any other means of attack."

"A long time ago, the research institute studied that destroying the True Master's true form would be fatal for it. Even if it manages to escape death after being deified, its pollution value won't exceed the spiritual threshold of the believers it deifies."

"Pollutants don't have faith, so they can't be considered believers. The True Master's deification options are now limited to the families on the island. These families, as a whole, aren't strong. With a bit of searching, we can always find them."

The system grumbled, "[Truly a man who's been dealing with the Divine Realm and the brain flower for 45 years. He said everything I wanted to say. How infuriating.]"

Ning Huai stared into Lu Yan's eyes and said solemnly, "I'll do whatever it takes to hold off the other pollutants. You take care of the True Master."

Lu Yan remained calm internally but still nodded gravely. "Understood."

---

The core area of the Central Divine Court is called Paradise.

In the past, there were tens of thousands of white souls working hard here. Most of their work was meaningless; the True Master only maintained the cognitive abilities and activity of these souls through such means.

But recently, due to several severe injuries, not a single white soul remained here.

Almost all of them had been swallowed up to serve as nourishment.

A huge brain flower bounced back and forth in Paradise, restless.

The True Master was no longer interested in maintaining the surface tranquility of Paradise; with each bounce, hundreds of white souls would be crushed to death. These white souls would then turn into delicious juice, merging into its body.

These white souls scattered and hid in every corner of Paradise, trying to escape.

Upon realizing that this hunt was going awry, the True Master swiftly called for reinforcements from other S-class pollutants.

Given the nature of the sea fog, it reached out to the owner of the floating island, a pitch-black crow that brought misfortune.

This crow could discern directions within the sea fog and pinpoint Changjia's location.

The True Master promised that if the crow came to reinforce, it would assist the crow in controlling other high-level pollutants, making the crow the sole lord of the skies.

"It's him who's coming... How could it be him..."

The True Master recalled a glimpse in the consciousness space, unable to stop a shiver running down its spine.

That was a power even it feared, and the True Master dared not gamble.

A pure white carrier pigeon tore through the white mist, carrying a message tube, flying in from the horizon.

This white pigeon had unnaturally alluring blood-red eyes. When it cooed, its orange-yellow beak slightly opened, revealing jagged teeth inside. It looked like a carnivorous creature.

The pollution level of the white pigeon wasn't high; its main role was message delivery. Occasionally, it served as a courier for the slaughterhouse, helping with deliveries.

Upon seeing the white pigeon, a burst of joyous bioelectric light erupted from the surface of the brain flower. "Has your island owner replied? Is he coming?"

The white pigeon burped and replied in the voice of the island owner, "You deceived the old banyan tree of Luochuan Botanical Garden and still have the nerve to seek my help? Is the Perfect Evolution Species so easy to control? Stay in Changjia until you die."

With that, the white pigeon flapped its wings and flew away.

The brain flower hesitated for a moment, then erupted in anger. "What creature is this?! Come back and explain yourself! I, the True Master, have always acted with integrity and honesty. Who did I deceive?!"
