Chapter 72: School Trip

 - Ugh...

A Kraken with four missing legs swam into the abyss, wailing.

It failed. 'He' had ordered to capture the strongest human, but the pain was too much, so it escaped.

- Ugh...

The Kraken, filled with sorrow, descended beneath the sea. As it reached the deepest part of the ocean, it saw a gigantic being lying there. The Kraken, which had been instructed to capture the human with the most 'core,' approached 'him.'

- Ugh, ugh...

Expressing its failure, the Kraken cried, mentioning that four legs were severed. Showing its unsightly legs, it wept. Quietly, someone who had been listening opened their eyes.

Slowly rising, he reached out towards the surface. The Kraken wriggled its remaining four legs, witnessing the sight of the giant hand going up.

'He' moved.

To fulfill 'his' will.

Under the sea, Sihyun's eyes widened as a gigantic black hand emerged. The enormous black hand seemed to belong to an ordinary person. When it unexpectedly landed on a ship with a thud, the ship shook and sank before resurfacing.

"Ack!"

During this process, people were thrown, tumbling to the ground. Sihyun's eyelashes trembled.

A giant black hand.

It was identical to the hand in his dream.

As if everything before was a prelude, everything now matched the contents of his dream. That meant, the events could continue as per the dream. With wide eyes, he stared at the hand reaching towards him.

Thud!

Something broke, and Sihyun, who had been holding his breath, turned his head. He could now be certain of what tilted the ship. It was that gigantic being holding onto the ship, and the ship was being balanced by that huge hand.

Unbelievable.

When a teacher who had been frozen in shock finally opened his mouth, Sihyun was certain. That Irregular was at least Junjae-level or above.

"Thud!"

"Heeek!"

As the hand struck the ship again, someone groaned. It was deduced that someone was trapped under the hand.

Woooosh!

When Titan's hand swept across the cabin, the pride of the "Royal Prince" instantly collapsed. Startled, Sihyun anxiously looked towards that direction. There were still students and Haru inside the cabin.

The tip of the hand grabbing the railing trembled. When a ominous thought occurred, under the debris of the collapsed cabin, Haru and the A-class students crawled out. Sihyun sighed in relief. At that moment, Titan's hand moved ruthlessly.

Swoosh, the hand moved, and the children screamed, running away. Some were already thrown away or crushed, bleeding. Sihyun's eyes widened as he sensed that the hand was searching for something.

He knew what it was looking for. In his dream, that hand had caught him and made him disappear.

Swish!

"Ugh!"

"Teacher!"

The kids hit by Titan's attack screamed. Some were thrown away, others crushed, vomiting blood. Sihyun bit his lips.

There was no place to shield them, and his shield didn't seem likely to withstand. If that was the case...

Thud, belatedly awakened Awakeners and teachers rushed towards the children. Because Titan's movements were as slow as its size, it was possible. However, to their dismay, the teachers were once again blown away with a single gesture.

One by one, starting with the closest ones, the teachers were blown away. Without interference, the giant hand rose high. It was way higher than before. When the hand seemed to be about to strike the children, panic swept over them.

"Mom..."

The frightened child crawled backward, using arms and legs, crying. Watching this scene, Sihyun closed his eyes tightly, gritting his teeth.

Honestly, I hate this kind of thing...

But it seems unavoidable.

With that thought, Sihyun bit his lip and stood up. Shaky, whether from fear or too much tension, his steps slipped, but he didn't fall. As he rushed towards the child about to be attacked by Titan, he pushed the kid aside and met the hand in front of him.

"Sihyun!"

Someone shouted.

At the same time, thud! A giant hand grabbed Sihyun. His body was tiny compared to the hand.

"Urgh!"

Under the pressure squeezing his body, Sihyun couldn't hold back and vomited blood. He wanted to struggle, but the hand held his arms and legs, making it impossible. Snap! The grip of the hand tightened.

Cough, Sihyun coughed up blood again.

The hand, seemingly unconcerned about him, slowly let go and retreated as if it had found its target. The hand that dominated the ship slowly descended beneath the sea.

"Sihyun!"

Once again, Haru's shout echoed, but

Splash!

The giant hand that held Sihyun disappeared mercilessly.

"Sihyun!"

Haru, who was held by Hamin and Haewoon, shouted, waving his arms. He tried to rush out, but due to the people holding him back, he couldn't. Baek, who held Haru, turned his gaze to Hamin. Hamin, facing that gaze, let out a bitter laugh.

"Why, couldn't you let him go with Kang Sihyun? Did you think you could catch the guy that even the teachers couldn't handle by yourself?"

In response to Hamin's words, Haru clenched his fists silently. As the atmosphere grew tense, Haewoon intervened to prevent a fight between them. Haru closed his mouth at Hamin's words.

His hands trembled. His head felt hot, and something large seemed to be blocking his throat. It was agonizing. It felt more fearful than when he was in the laboratory. However, the other kids didn't seem to feel the same.

Red eyes stared at Class A, and at that moment, Down's words were heard.

"... The one who was taken just now, was it Kang Sihyun?"

Silence followed Down's words. No one could affirmatively say anything, and no one could deny what they had seen.

That crazy bastard! Down, belatedly angry, ran wild, shouting. As he ran towards the railing, Hyun stopped him and Wisdom calmed him down. Suddenly, curses came out of Down's mouth.

Down, who leaned against the railing as if he could collapse, called for the missing Sihyun, looking at the vast sea. No one had seen Down cursing before, but no one was surprised by his sharp words.

Haru silently stared at Down, then slowly turned his gaze to the kids. Seo, who usually smiled and played around, looked terrifyingly serious, and Haewoon's face, always playful, turned pale. Geonu seemed like he could faint at any moment, and Hamin's palm showed a hint of red.

It wasn't normal.

Realizing this, Haru pressed his lips, looking at the misty sea. His eyes stung. His heart kept pounding, and tension filled his body. When Haru, who was feeling these emotions for the first time, bit his lips, the teachers who had fallen, bleeding, staggered to their feet.

Barely standing, they surveyed the disaster on the deck.

Everything was shattered, and many students lay fallen. Some were vomiting blood, others unconscious. And ultimately,

They had lost one student.

Unreachable.

Everyone here knew that. The teachers pounded their fists against the railing. Recklessly going to save would be the same as abandoning the kids left here.

In this helpless situation, when the teachers looked at the misty sea, a man slowly walked towards the railing from the crowd.

Thud, thud.

A man who slowly emerged from the crowd approached Down's side. As he looked at the sea, his dark, low-pitched voice echoed.

"Causing a headache."

The sturdy man's voice was heard. When the man with tousled black hair lowered his hand, his black hair fell to the ground.

"... A wig?"

The student who confirmed what had fallen spoke, and everyone on the deck looked at the man. A blond man came into view. Just as the teachers were about to question his identity,

Splash!

Stepping on the railing, the man jumped into the sea that swallowed calamity.
