The enormous bull, weighing more than a ton, caused the ground to tremble as it ran. Tang Xuhai stood fearlessly, a smile on his face. "Come on!"
"Moo!!!" The ground rumbled with the bull's thunderous charge.
Tang Xuhai no longer held his dual blades but instead wielded a military knife in front of him.
Twice, Tang Xuhai had leaped over the bull from above its head, teaching the bull a lesson. This time, as it charged, the bull started swinging its massive head, even standing upright, advancing toward Tang Xuhai.
Cursing inwardly, Tang Xuhai, agilely maneuvering his sturdy body, flipped and dodged beneath the bull's hooves!
Several team members gathered near the modified vehicle, amazed by Tang Xuhai's moves. His actions were more stunning and exaggerated than those in action movies, earning their admiration.
"Boom!" The bull's front hooves pounded the ground, creating ripple-like shockwaves across the spreading sand.
Tang Xuhai braced with one hand, swiftly evading the bull's attacks.
He keenly observed the bull's weak spots. If not for its braincase as tough as bronze, Tang Xuhai could kick its head with one leg, but a direct confrontation would only result in mutual harm.
"Bang! Moo~~!"
The bull cried out miserably, then turned angrily. To Tang Xuhai's surprise, its tail was severed!
Tang Xuhai was alarmed; now the bull had to be provoked, and Fu Shiwu had been reckless!
The sand rapidly expanded, and Ma Dong was reaching his limit. With his abilities, turning such a large area into sand was extremely challenging.
The bull bellowed skyward, sinking heavily into the sand. The soft ground hindered the heavy bull from quick movement.
The bull took large strides, struggling and thrashing its head wildly, threatening with its horns. Fu Shiwu stood at the end of the cement road, cold and indifferent, gazing at this mutated creature.
Raising his hand, he fired.
"Boom! Swish—"
The bullets grazed the bull's cheek, leaving a trail of blood.
Surprised, Tang Xuhai questioned, "Did he miss?"
That couldn't be possible. Fu Shiwu's extraordinary marksmanship couldn't have such an obvious error. Was it intentional?
Seeing the bull huffing, Fu Shiwu seemed to be provoking it!
Why?!
The infuriated bull let out a thunderous "Moo~~~!!!"
With its roar, a deep crack emerged between the bull and Fu Shiwu. Sand flew from both sides, scattering stones onto the cement ground.
Confusion clouded their vision. What was Fu Shiwu up to?! Tang Xuhai grew anxious, tightening his grip on the dagger, ready to take a risk.
Fu Shiwu's eyes narrowed behind his glasses. In his almost frozen mind, an accurate image appeared of everyone present and even the kinetic imagery of the creature from underground.
With a sharp gaze, Fu Shiwu smiled confidently. He could see!
No matter how powerful the bull was, it couldn't outsmart human intelligence. Amidst the flying sand, clear attack paths emerged.
"Now, let's see you dodge this!" Fu Shiwu remained calm, gripping the handle of a second gun, aiming at the target in his mind, firing both guns simultaneously!
After a crisp burst of sound, six bullets whizzed through the gaps in the sand, the first bullet shattering obstacles, the second pushing the first forward.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!" A series of muffled sounds as all six bullets accurately pierced the bull's eyes.
"Moo—!" The bull let out a mournful cry, crashing to the ground, reflexively twitching its limbs.
As sand and stones flew, Fu Shiwu lowered his held guns, letting out a sigh.
Horn Ting's eyes remained fixed on Fu Shiwu, his eyebrows lifting slightly. He hadn't expected Fu Shiwu's marksmanship to be so impressive.
"Ahahaha!" Miao Jia exclaimed excitedly. "Fu Bro is amazing! So awesome!!"
Wen Zhaoming and Tang Xuhai wore astonished expressions, aware of Fu Shiwu's background. Fu Shiwu's progress was astonishing!
Now, Tang Xuhai was certain this wasn't something an ordinary person could achieve, not even someone exceptionally talented.
This was definitely an extraordinary ability!
Half the road turned to sand, the massive brown bull lay dead, its ton of weight deeply embedded in the sand.
"Wow—amazing marksmanship!" Liu Peiqi marveled, inspecting the bull's eyes.
The bull's eyes were different from a human's, positioned slightly askew on its face. Yet, Fu Shiwu managed to hit all three bullets into the bull's eyes in a chain, piercing the bull's brain.
Suppressing his surprise, Wang Dan's eyes gleamed. Fu Shiwu, who didn't seem particularly robust, unexpectedly possessed such remarkable skills.
Olande was excessively thrilled, praising Fu Shiwu, "That's incredible! Fu! Your marksmanship is the best I've seen, a marksman! No, you're practically a gun god!"
Fu Shiwu's overly enthusiastic attitude left him at a loss. Quietly stepping back, he wore a composed expression, saying, "Mr. Paliel, you're exaggerating. I have a long way to go." His hand fiddled with the gun's handle, glancing towards Tang Xuhai, subtly signaling for help.
Amidst Tang Xuhai's surprise, observing Fu Shiwu intently despite being pulled by someone else, he couldn't help but smirk. He sheathed his dagger, hooked Fu Shiwu's neck as he walked over.
"Nice job!" Tang Xuhai praised.
Fu Shiwu adjusted his glasses. Though his neck was caught, making him tilt awkwardly, he couldn't help but smile.
Compared to others, he sought more of his friend's praise, especially from Tang Xuhai, who had taught him gunplay.
Tang Xuhai lifted the arm draped over Fu Shiwu's shoulder, placing his palm on Fu Shiwu's head, turning it subtly towards himself, hiding his somewhat silly grin from others' sight.
A smart and tough face paired with a silly smile was terrifying, undermining Fu Shiwu's established image and detrimental to team management. It was better if only he saw this side of Tang Xuhai's thoughts.
Tang Xuhai didn't see anything wrong with including Wen Zhaoming in the "others" category, considering how Wen Zhaoming treated Fu Shiwu as if he were in awe, thanks to Fu Shiwu's influence.
"This bull is huge!" Miao Jia stooped, gazing at the giant bull lying on the ground.
"Estimated to weigh over a thousand kilograms. Such a big bull could make it to the Guinness World Records," Olande marveled, lowering his head in amazement.
Wen Zhaoming was pushed over. His electric wheelchair struggled on the sand. Reaching the bull, his face was stern.
"This bull's mutation is far advanced," Wen Zhaoming remarked.
"Yeah," M
iao Jia nodded, turning to Wen Zhaoming. "Even online, there's no record of mutations this extreme and simultaneously possessing extraordinary abilities."
"Mainly due to its skull," Tang Xuhai said, releasing Fu Shiwu and bending down to pull out his dual swords. With one, he sliced open the bull's head, revealing its incredibly sturdy skull.
The blade plunged into the skull but only resulted in a dull sound.
"So tough!" Ma Dong gasped.
"How did its head become this hard?" Wu Shan tilted his head, incredulous.
"It must be due to evolution," Liu Peiqi said uncertainly.
"Just evolution," Fu Shiwu, standing beside Tang Xuhai, took a dragon bone knife from him, lightly poking the bull's head. "The survival instincts of animals are beyond human imagination. This bull evolved towards better survival. With the emergence of alien features like the straw shoot from the ground, its skull became exceptionally sturdy. Coupled with its speed and earth-based ability, not even evolved aliens could match it."
"Yeah, this bull is more formidable than the evolved aliens we've encountered before," Tang Xuhai confirmed.
"But how did this happen?" Miao Jia asked, puzzled. "I understand evolution, but why are animal mutations and abilities more powerful than humans?"
"I think I know why," Fu Shiwu said, looking at them seriously. "It's due to different absorption of source molecules."
Tang Xuhai's eyes gleamed. He spoke in a serious tone, "Are you saying this bull, like the wild grass, underwent an explosive mutated growth?"
Fu Shiwu nodded. "Yes, I've been thinking about it. Now, the Earth is saturated with source molecule elements. All animals and plants absorb air containing source molecules. Plants absorb nutrients from soil containing source molecules. Animals directly drink water containing source molecules. They've reached the threshold for mutation before us. We humans only breathe the same air, so naturally, we lag behind mutated creatures."
"So, this bull eats mutated grass, drinks contaminated water, and breathes the same air, resulting in it being more powerful than humans," Wen Zhaoming summarized.
"But we humans can't directly drink contaminated water, can we?" Ma Dong questioned, alarmed. "It's lethal! Not everyone will have immunity; there's a possibility of failure."
"Exactly, so blindly increasing the intake of source molecules is extremely risky now," Wen Zhaoming said. "Increased source molecule intake doesn't necessarily lead to enhanced abilities."
Fu Shiwu crossed his arms, lost in thought, his gaze behind his glasses fixed on the bull lying on the ground.
"What have you thought of?" Tang Xuhai asked, noticing Fu Shiwu's prolonged silence.
"Uh," Fu Shiwu lifted his head, looking at Tang Xuhai. He said seriously, "I'm thinking about how many days it would take for such a big bull to be completely consumed."
Hearing his words, an eerie silence descended upon the scene.
Did he deviate from the topic too quickly?!
