Tang Xuhai roared furiously, once again charging towards the alien entity, crouching low and sweeping towards its lower body.

The lower body indeed was the weakness of this alien; it was directly knocked down. Tang Xuhai, not one to forgive easily, pointed his blade down, leaped up, and ruthlessly smashed his knee towards the alien's chest.

The alien screeched, its feeding tube rapidly shooting out towards Tang Xuhai's knee.

This hit, carrying the force that could easily pierce through a skull, left Tang Xuhai's leg useless again.

Tang Xuhai remained composed, quick to react. He twisted in mid-air, a powerful movement flipping him sideways. His legs spun out a graceful, agile landing.

Seizing this chance, the alien crawled up, its tentacles hooking onto the nearby roof, springing up onto it. Clearly, it found an advantage in ambushing from a height, wanting to strike again.

But Tang Xuhai wouldn't allow it. He used his feet on the ground, running to the wall, "step by step," a few steps on the wall leaving widely spaced footprints. He raised his wrist, fingers hooking onto the roof's edge, body swinging, legs extending, effortlessly flipping up onto the roof.

Seeing him pursue, the alien screeched piercingly, lunging towards him.

"Come on!" Tang Xuhai, infuriated, grinned, parrying the alien's tentacles with his dual blades, shifting styles to evade the alien's feeding tube.

This alien was more agile than any encountered before, yet its moves still fell short compared to Tang Xuhai's rigorously trained techniques. Gradually, its tentacles sustained more wounds, the barbs almost cleanly whittled away.

"Hissss!!!" The alien screeched, its feeding tube striking even faster.

Tang Xuhai kicked out with both legs, one leg swinging at the nape of the alien's neck, the other bracing on the other side, a powerful twist of his waist, slamming the alien's head onto the roof.

As the alien staggered, Tang Xuhai, wielding his dual blades, pinned its tentacles to the roof.

"Still not dead, huh?" Tang Xuhai's expression turned fierce as he grinned.

The alien, at the brink of death, unleashed its ferocity, struggling frantically. Tang Xuhai had to use both hands to firmly hold down his blades to prevent it from breaking free.

With both hands occupied, this favored the alien greatly as it still possessed a third weapon, the feeding tube.

The mandibles on the alien's mouth split open, and with Tang Xuhai so close, he could clearly see the feeding tube shooting out like lightning.

"Damn it!" Tang Xuhai's neck tilted to one side, then the other!

The frequency of the alien's attacks increased. It forced Tang Xuhai into a direction where evasion became impossible.

Tang Xuhai, resolute, exerted force with his hands, quickly piercing through the roof with his dual blades.

"Squeak!!!" The alien cried out in pain.

Tang Xuhai smirked, "Go die!!!"

Suddenly, from the smooth surface of one of the blades on the roof, a spike extended. Growing longer and longer, its sharp tip gleamed.

"Hisss hisss hisss!!!" The alien, catching a glimpse of the approaching gleam, violently shook its head in desperation.

At that moment, on the other side, a spike from another blade swiftly pierced the alien's ear!

The alien jerked, its tentacles immediately went limp, its entire body ceasing movement.

Tang Xuhai breathed a sigh of relief, both hands gripping the handle, forcefully pulling the blades out from the roof.

He gazed at the dragon-bone dual blades reflecting a brilliant silver glow in the sunlight, the suddenly grown spikes slowly retracting into the blades, shortening the length of the blades back to their original appearance.

What an incredibly useful ability!

"Tang Xuhai! How are you?!" Captain Xing's voice echoed from below.

"I'm fine! I've taken down the alien!" Tang Xuhai replied loudly.

After a while, the special operations team dispersed, no longer worried about the possibility of infection, each person staring solemnly at the trace of the alien.

"This alien is very different!" Captain Xing bent down, examining the alien kicked down by Tang Xuhai from the roof.

"Its muscle strength is much stronger than the previous regular aliens," Tang Xuhai kicked the alien's arm, remarking.

"Yeah, what do you think this is about?" Captain Xing looked towards Tang Xuhai.

"There's only one explanation," Tang Xuhai's eyes gleamed as he looked at Captain Xing, "The aliens have gotten stronger!"

"Perhaps like humans, due to the appearance of Source Molecules and abilities, could it be that the aliens might have evolved due to some factor on our Earth?" Captain Xing shuddered at his own words, "If that's the case, the opportunity humans gained through abilities might soon disappear."

"Earthly factors?" Tang Xuhai recalled this.

They mutated and gained abilities by absorbing Source Molecules through breathing and drinking water. If the aliens also evolved due to some molecules, it couldn't have started much later than humans.

So what could it be?

Tang Xuhai cursed, his fist smashing into the wall, creating a deep dent.

"What have you figured out?" Captain Xing asked him.

Tang Xuhai took a deep breath, then exhaled, "For such a long time, they've only absorbed one thing: human brains!"

"What?!" Captain Xing's expression changed immediately.

Warehouse Center

Tang Xuhai continued to go out with the special operations team as usual, while Fu Shiwu and Wen Zhaoming, who remained behind, conversed quietly in their small compartment.

During these days, while the trio observed the people outside, the outsiders were also observing them.

A man who appeared very robust and intimidating; another in a wheelchair, with a cold demeanor; and the last one wore glasses, looking rather refined.

Except for the robust man, the other two didn't seem threatening.

The one in the wheelchair and the one with glasses never interacted with outsiders, always wandering to the military camp after the robust man returned (recharged). It was unclear if they had any special relationship with the people there.

If only that were all, these three wouldn't have attracted much attention. But three single men living more comfortably than those with families drew envy and sideways glances from others.

Three large buckets, always opened after being filled, weren't just used for washing hair but even for bathing. This made the evacuees, some only having mineral water bottles cut in half, envious and resentful.

However, Fu Shiwu and the others couldn't abandon the buckets just because others were jealous. They had to endure the envy and handle things as they saw fit.

If Tang Xuhai's imposing presence had intimidated before, with people gaining abilities one after another, dissatisfaction brewed.

Three large men, dressed in leather jackets, sunglasses on a scorching day, swaggered along the central aisle of the warehouse.

Not far from Fu Shiwu and the others, a woman lived alone with a little girl

 and a small dog.

The dog ate its owner's rations and, now hungry and usually quiet, suddenly began barking fiercely upon seeing the three men.

"Bark bark bark! Bark bark bark!!"

The leader sneered disdainfully at the barking dog, making an ill-intentioned smile, then suddenly took a deep breath, fiercely imitating the dog: "Bark bark bark bark bark!!"

This was an absolutely unexpected and nonsensical behavior!

But the dog, as if sensing something from the man, immediately shrank its neck, tail tucked, whimpering in fear.

"What are you doing?!" The little girl had enough; she ran over to hug the dog.

The man was taken aback. He had expected even a little girl to be intimidated by him, but she showed no fear. Was his intimidation ineffective even on a little girl?

Annoyed, he considered teaching the girl a lesson. His follower quickly stepped forward, grabbing his arm: "Boss, focus on the task."

Another accomplice, grinning, menacingly clenched his fists.

The third, however, merely sneered coldly, waving his fists to display his strong biceps.
