The three of them discussed for a long time that day, but ultimately, it was all speculation. More concrete information could only be gathered by contacting more people outside.

Wen Zhaoming's body temperature steadily decreased, and when he recovered, it was the time when the three of them left the air-raid shelter.

During the nearly one-week stay in the air-raid shelter, it seemed like they were living in isolation from the world. However, all three of them knew they couldn't continue hiding in a place devoid of resources, especially with the increasing presence of the alien beings.

The only way out was to head to the warehouse center in the eastern suburbs!

They reached a consensus: Wen Zhaoming actively recuperated, Fu Shiwu continued training excessively seriously, either with endless bomb dismantling or assembling, while Tang Xuhai started contemplating how to modify his new weapon, the piece of steel frame he had picked up from the supermarket.

The correct name for this type of steel frame was lightweight steel keel, commonly used during the renovation of large supermarkets' ceilings.

When Tang Xuhai brought it back, his initial thought was to have a handy tool for long-range use. However, after realizing he seemed to possess a unique ability, his attention shifted to this keel.

Holding the rather long keel in his hand, Tang Xuhai pondered on how to leverage his unexplored ability to modify it.

His mind raced while gripping the keel tightly. Should he transform it into a throwing knife or perhaps a bayonet? Maybe turning this section of keel into a military shovel would work.

At that moment, he felt something odd about the keel in his hand. Examining it closely, he noticed the part his palm touched had deformed, forming a gentle curve.

Tang Xuhai was surprised. Was this keel so fragile?

No, it was the lightweight steel keel deforming in his hand. Noticing this, Tang Xuhai focused his attention on the point where his hand made contact.

With his consciousness, the keel gradually softened, as if melting in a high-temperature furnace, slowly turning into liquid steel!

Tang Xuhai was ecstatic, immediately using this newfound power to mold the steel into the shape he desired.

Two shiny silver Tang swords appeared in his hands!

Looking at the two sharp, glinting Tang swords, Tang Xuhai nodded in satisfaction.

The material of military knives was excellent high-carbon steel, naturally superior to the lightweight steel keel.

However, in close combat with an alien possessing two tentacles, using a military knife would put him at a disadvantage in terms of distance. The Tang swords, on the other hand, ensured both distance and the advantages of a melee weapon.

Using the Tang swords might not feel as natural to Tang Xuhai as using the military knife, but the essence of using similar weapons ultimately led to the same path.

In the blink of an eye, the lightweight steel keel in Tang Xuhai's hand transformed into a pair of Tang swords, naturally drawing the attention of the other two.

Wen Zhaoming exclaimed, "Is this your ability? Controlling metal."

Tang Xuhai was extremely happy but suppressed his excitement, saying, "Seems so, but it feels a bit different from yours. It seems I can't manipulate it remotely."

Fu Shiwu added, "But your ability to directly affect the steel within the body might be even more remarkable than that."

Tang Xuhai restrained a brilliant smile, "Hopefully." Then, he reined in his overly excited emotions and said firmly, "Anyway, this shouldn't be the limit; there's much more to explore and develop."

"Yeah," Wen Zhaoming nodded. "I can't just settle for starting and stopping fires either."

The extraordinary abilities displayed by Tang Xuhai and Wen Zhaoming finally made Fu Shiwu unable to remain calm. Enviously, he said, "That's great, turning misfortune into a blessing, huh? You both have special abilities now. I wish I had one too."

Tang Xuhai looked at him strangely. Fu Shiwu was already quite outstanding; was he never satisfied? Did he want to leave no room for others to shine?

"Calling them 'special abilities' feels awkward. There's a term for these extraordinary abilities now; they call them 'superpowers.' Also, Fu Shiwu, don't underestimate yourself. Don't you realize how amazing you are without me saying it?" Tang Xuhai said calmly to the bewildered Fu Shiwu. "From what I know, achieving the level where you aim unconsciously and shoot consciously is something only sharpshooters at the level of seasoned soldiers can do. Yet, in your first aiming practice, you were able to do just that!"

Fu Shiwu straightened his posture, taking Tang Xuhai's words seriously.

"This is quite unusual. Perhaps this is your special talent; don't waste or overlook it!" Tang Xuhai said with a serious tone.

Fu Shiwu nodded solemnly, "I understand. I'll definitely work hard to cultivate this ability and won't hold you back!"

"..."

That wasn't quite what Tang Xuhai meant! Also, he really didn't have to work that hard...

Wen Zhaoming sat in the electric wheelchair, wanting to help tidy things up, but was refused by Fu Shiwu and Tang Xuhai. With not much stuff, the two big guys quickly packed everything up, bringing it all to the corridor in just a few trips.

Manipulating the electric wheelchair behind the two, Tang Xuhai wielded the twin swords - named Dragonbone Dual Blades - while Fu Shiwu held a handgun, using one hand to unlatch the door.

Tang Xuhai dashed out of the door first, followed closely by Fu Shiwu.

"Keep it quiet, noise might attract more aliens!" Tang Xuhai growled softly, leaping directly onto the roof of the SUV, his eyes sharply scanning the surroundings.

Fu Shiwu followed suit, swiftly walking to the car and opening the door to facilitate Wen Zhaoming's quick entry.

Near the Dongtian Cinema, it was still desolate. However, not far away on the streets, a creature lingered, seemingly searching for prey.

Two nights had led to another surge in alien density in the eastern part of Cloud City.

With the city's population gradually fleeing elsewhere, it became increasingly challenging for these aliens to find humans, causing them to frenziedly attack at the sight of any human figures.

"Ah!!!" This seemed to be the creature's joyous scream, as piercing and sharp as ever.

Before the alien could get close, Tang Xuhai launched himself towards the running creature. The alien swung its tentacles towards its prey, but Tang Xuhai, with his Tang swords held before him, swiftly severed the tentacles.

"Squeak—" The alien screamed in agony, blood spurting wildly from the severed limb.

Tang Xuhai snorted, "Your blood is red too. Why can't you eat something healthier?!"

He angrily swung his Tang sword, slicing across the creature's waist while the other blade targeted the creature's other arm.

With a furious roar, the alien was completely bisected at the waist!

"Two more incoming!" Fu Shiwu urgently yelled.

"Don't worry! Load up the stuff in the car!" Tang Xuhai didn't pause, the heavy-duty boots underfoot scraping heavily, charging towards the other two attracted by the alien's cries.

Fu Shiwu watched with a hint of worry as Tang Xuhai confronted them, witnessing an outstanding slaughter.

Tang Xuhai dashed around, fighting two aliens alone. He was agile and nimble, swiftly decapitating the aliens before they could even touch him, ending their lives.

"Don't worry, Tang Xuhai's skills are fine," Wen Zhaoming said from the back of the car. "If needed, I can use my abilities to assist him."

"Mm." Fu Shiwu nodded, no longer paying attention to Tang Xuhai, and began loading the equipment they had been using onto the car one by one.

No one knew what kind of days lay ahead for them. If they continued to be homeless, these tools would be indispensable for their future life.

The set of wireless communication devices in Tang Xuhai's backpack had been meticulously modified by him. It could receive signals from nearby troops. Using this equipment, the three gathered the latest information on the aliens and devised their plan of action.

The accident site, now transformed into a defensive structure, continued to attract many aliens in the east. Having understood the basic characteristics of these aliens, the military had relaxed considerably. After obtaining weapons and ammunition supplies, they turned this relatively small area into a grinder for the aliens.

Tang Xuhai's suggestion was to take that road. If they took a detour, not only would it take longer, but they might encounter even more aliens than if they faced the battlefield head-on.

In devising the action plan, Fu Shiwu and Wen Zhaoming were on par and naturally complied.

Tang Xuhai's aggression was aroused, initiating a massive slaughter before returning somewhat unsatisfied to the SUV.

Seven or eight alien corpses lay scattered on the ground. Tang Xuhai opened the car door and said, "Let's go, it's temporarily clean here."

"Mm." Fu Shiwu nodded solemnly.

The SUV gracefully turned around, speeding towards the main road.

Fu Shiwu and Wen Zhaoming gripped the handles tightly, prepared for any collisions or sudden turns.

Tang Xuhai remained vigilant, flooring the accelerator, swiftly passing through the old streets and turning onto the main road.

"There are aliens!" Fu Shiwu exclaimed, sitting upright and gripping the handle tightly with his other hand.

"Don't panic; they're all headed towards the construction site." Tang Xuhai observed and reassured.

On both sides of the road, amidst the towering buildings, two or three aliens occasionally sprinted out from between them, swiftly converging into a stream rushing towards the makeshift construction site, drawn by the commotion caused by the aliens.
