Chapter 19: The First World (19)

Zhao Miaomiao was on the verge of being scared to death.

Even if all these rumors were spread under her orders, she had never expected that the delicate and soft Shi Qing would turn out to be a real extraterrestrial being.

Yes!

Yes!!

She slumped on the ground, staring dumbly at the increasing number of humanoid machines in the sky. They were clad in silver armor, each standing about half the height of a person, and the weapons they carried could destroy a building with a single swing.

Initially, it was these machines that surrounded the base, threatening humanity to hand over Yin Mingzheng.

And then, Yin Mingzheng returned with Shi Qing.

How could she not have thought of it!!!

Shi Qing looked at Zhao Miaomiao, who seemed lost in thought, with great interest in his eyes. He lifted his foot and moved lightly towards the woman.

"Ah—"

A sharp scream of fear erupted from the woman, and before Shi Qing could do anything, she was already panicking and shouting, "Don't kill me!!! Don't kill me!!!"

"It's the Zerg!! The Zerg forced me to do this! It's all the Zerg's fault, don't kill me..."

The Zerg high-ranking members pointed at by Zhao Miaomiao: "???"

They hadn't even blamed Zhao Miaomiao for daring to kidnap a machine race, and now this human woman dared to shift the blame onto them?!

But now was not the time to settle scores; Shi Qing was already approaching.

Machine race, indeed!

These were machine beings!

Moreover, judging by his appearance, he seemed to have consciousness. When thinking about what the machine race was like, according to the inherited memories, only the King had consciousness. Thinking about the inheritance memories passed down through generations about what the machine race was like, the Zerg were almost scared out of their wits.

The one leading them was trembling, and those Zerg behind him were even more frightened. Humans trembled in fear, but they shook their whole bodies in terror.

At this moment, the last row of Zerg was about to shake off all eighteen of their legs.

They stammered, "M-Master..."

Zerg usually had a slight stutter when speaking human languages, but now, they couldn't even utter a word due to the extreme fear.

Seeing Shi Qing approaching, they were terrified. These were machine beings, after all! In fact, they seemed to have thoughts. Thinking about it, only the King of the machine race had thoughts. When thinking about the inherited memories passed down through generations, what the machine race was like, the Zerg were almost scared out of their wits.

The leader was trembling, and his face, with an almost pointed shape, was covered in green sweat beads. He was almost stuttering: "M-Master, you..."

Perhaps out of anxiety, he hurriedly chopped off one of his own arms, and this allowed him to regain some composure. He continued to struggle, speaking human language with great difficulty: "You, please don't believe... This human, we... We were deceived."

Seeing them in such a state, Shi Qing became curious and deliberately frightened the leading Zerg: "Do you Zerg know about our machine race?"

Behind him, as he said this, the humanoid machines that had been hovering in the sky suddenly turned, aiming their weapons at the Zerg. Even the Zerg that had just been terrified to death by Shi Qing were scared to the point that they couldn't move a muscle.

As if they were dead bugs.

Cutting off a limb was the highest form of etiquette for the Zerg, symbolizing their utmost respect for the other party.

Shi Qing didn't care about these self-mutilating Zerg and instead looked at the leading Zerg.

He had a humanoid body, standing at about two meters tall, and where his arms should be, there were dense arm-like appendages. His slightly pointed face was covered in green sweat at the moment, and he was stuttering like crazy:

"M-Master, y-you..."

Perhaps out of haste, he quickly cut off one of his own arms to regain a bit of composure. He continued to struggle and explain in human language: "We didn't know about you, Master, we were deceived by this human. We admire you greatly, and as long as you say the word, the Zerg are willing to... to serve you."

This was even a Zerg who could speak idiomatic expressions.

Zhao Miaomiao had just managed to shake off her chaotic emotions when she heard this, and she was even more devastated. The Zerg she had worked so hard to enlist were willing to follow Shi Qing. What kind of future did that leave for her, who had offended Shi Qing?

Amid her breakdown, a dense mist suddenly rose into the air, swiftly moving toward the Zerg. It had a sharp and deadly appearance.

The Zerg could dodge, but just as they were about to react, Shi Qing gave them a look, and they dared not move, only trying hard to avoid the black mist, which was as deadly as a blade.

When Yin Mingzheng, wearing a fitted military uniform and an intimidating expression, emerged from the black mist, the leading Zerg had lost all his limbs.

"Mingzheng!"

They almost stared in disbelief. In the inherited memories, there had never been any communication with other races; upon meeting, the machine race had always attacked, rushing into the embrace of that human male as if they were delicate and fragile, acting all docile and leaning against him.

"Why did you take so long? I was so scared... Ugh..."

The Zerg: "..."

Yin Mingzheng was completely unaware of the Zerg's dreamy expressions. In fact, no matter how much the Zerg's features changed, humans couldn't tell the difference. Right now, all his attention was on Shi Qing.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry..."

The usually composed man was terrified. He held the young man tightly in his arms and kissed Shi Qing's hair, filled with guilt and tenderness.

No one knew what he felt when he received the text message.

As Yin Mingzheng rushed over, he had many thoughts.

If something happened to Shi Qing, then these people would accompany his little prince in death.

And when he saw the sea of machines from afar, the man's heart sank to the bottom.

What had happened for these loyal subordinates to gather around their king like this?

He almost used up all his strength, sprinting to this place.

When he saw the young man standing there unharmed from a distance, a huge boulder in Yin Mingzheng's heart finally lifted.

Now, while holding the unscathed youth, the man covered the corners of his eyes that had turned red.

"Never again."

"I will never leave you alone again."

He gently stroked Shi Qing's back repeatedly, as if trying to comfort the young man with his own body heat.

Shi Qing must have been terrified.

He was still so young and didn't understand anything.

Even in the base, he could play around like an energetic dog with someone guarding him.

The Zerg almost stared in disbelief as the young man, who had previously appeared to want to harm them, now clung to the man tenderly, his voice trembling, "I'm so scared, Mingzheng, protect me."

"Alright, I'll protect you."

Yin Mingzheng carefully comforted the person in his arms, saying, "Don't be afraid, they will all die, and they won't hurt you anymore."

After saying that, the man raised his eyes and looked at the enemies who seemed very arrogant, his eyes full of killing intent.

The black mist suddenly rose into the air, and in just an instant, it enveloped the Zerg, who looked utterly bewildered.

The Zerg: "..."

It's not their business!!!

They were just here as bystanders!!!
